Honey marinade
We did a new Honey marinade, well, let's call it a marinade as it could be used as a Louisiana way of marinade chicken wings. The product is quite liquid, so you can dip the wings for a few hours before going to BBQ. At home, my son Nicolas uses it at a cold sauce, mainly with roasted chicken. It's really full of Honey, it smells and tastes Honey, it's not a Hot sauce at all, quite sweet! You'll love it!
Africa Pura
We've got a new born hot paste now, we called it "Africa Pura" as recipe has been originated by the way african people do their hot sauces, that is adding whicky and oil to peppers. We kept the pepper seeds. It's great, hot stuff, you'l feel Africa in your mouth...On the 150g vertical jars, 4 references now: Angola, Timorense, Chutney and now, Africa Pura. Enjoy it...but keep children away, that's not ketchup!
New marinades
We are launching 2 new marinades: one is garlic/onion, the other garlic/onion/lemon. Both are done to stir-fry pork meat or chicken. The idea is you spread marinade on top of meat or you first add fat in a frying pan and then colocate marinade, and when colour changes, you add meat. Much easier than the traditional peeling of onion, do not cry anymore!
Quinta's going Bio
We would like to present you our new baby, the Piri-piri Bio. Yes that's true, Quinta's is going organic! Huge project, seeds from the USA grown in Portugal (thanks to Teresa)and then transformed by us. Certifed by SATIVA. We do not have a lot this time, as it is the first crop, but we hope next year we can do more. It's hot, a blend of Habanero and Jalapeno. We love it!

News of the crop
Paprika crop started in Portugal, quite early this year due to a very hot summer, and it seems that the first fruits are really goods. Hot peppers will be later in October.
Garlic price is rising a lot currently, because the crop in China is expected to be much lower than previous years. We are expecting the price at year end to be twice the one of last January. We are doing our best to get garlic at the plant, but it is quite difficult these days...

Hot Sauces for teenies...
(Jan 15, 2010) Special Hot Sauce: Chutney Piri-Piri. As young people someway says hot sauces are sauces for old fashion guys loving old-fashioned food, we did something new specially for them, but olders can love that too: the Chutney Piri-Piri, a mix of sweet and hot, done with a lot of ingredients as Balsamic vinegar, sugar, olive oil, and many others. That gives a real new approach of the hot and spicy food. Fantastic with chicken... Take a chance!
New Special Marinades
(Jan 2, 2010) Our vision is based on meeting consumers' needs and making food that is easier, healthier and adds enjoyment and taste to life. Therefore we added some new special Marinades to our range.
The new Chicken Piri-Piri Marinade is a special marinade to prepare the famous Portuguese Chicken Piri-piri. It's quite hot and has to be spread over chicken before barbecue.
The new Refogado Cooking Sauce is a special blend to be use as a frying sauce to cook in a pan whatever you want to do: pork meat, chicken breast, vegetables, mushrooms, potatoes, rice.
The new Lemon Herbs Marinade is a very nice and fresh marinade to add on chicken before cooking. It gives a strong flavour of lemon and a nice touch of herbs.
The new Codfish Sauce is a special sauce to add on salted codfish to get the Portuguese version of the so-called "Bacalhau".
Codfish, Bacalhau, Morue
We know "Bacalhau", a typical Portuguese meal, but nobody knows how to prepare it. So we created a new Codfish Sauce, a blend of olive oil, garlic and paprika. You just need to open the jar and throw over the codfish out of the oven: it's ready!
